The HP Moonshot-45XGc Switch Module is designed to provide high speed, low-latency connectivity while dramatically reducing cost and complexity of deploying solutions at scale. The 45XGc Switch Module, together with the HP Moonshot-4QSFP+ Uplink Module, provides 1GbE network connections to cartridges within the HP Moonshot 15 chassis and 4Gb/1Gb connectivity external to the chassis. Up to two switch modules are supported in each chassis. IRF may be used to eliminate the cost of TOR
switches and provide failover in the event of a switch or uplink failure.
