The Gossen Metrawatt M249A METRAHIT Energy professional digital TRMS multimeter is a new multimeter which is exceeding all previous performance limits. Thanks to simultaneous TRMS current and voltage measurement (AC, AC+DC and DC) with a resolution of 5 digits, all important power quantities can be precisely acquired. The METRAHIT ENERGY can act as a compact power meter for direct and alternating current in single-phase systems. The electrical circuit can be connected either directly, or via a current transformer. If a current transformer is used (mA/A input), all current and power displays are represented with the correct value based upon the selected transformation ratio. Universal power measurement includes the following measuring functions: active, reactive and apparent power, power factor and energy. Beyond this, the mean power value can be generated over a specified time period (e.g. 15 min.), and the corresponding maximum value can be recorded along with time of occurrence. It can be used to monitor mains quality, perform harmonic analysis, and take specialist measurements like conductivity, crest factor and low resistance amongst others. Supplied with 3 x safety 4mm test probes, a rubber protective cover, 2 x AA batteries, short operating instructions, CD-ROM with instructions for use and the DKD calibration certificate. The 4mm test probes are rated to 1000 V CAT III, 600 V CAT IV.
