Eisco PH0411A - Leslie's Cube - Tin - 130mm

This tin Leslie's cube apparatus has sides with different surface finishes: blackened, roughened, varnished and polished. It is ideal for use in experiments to show how objects emit and absorb heat.

In use, the apparatus is filled with water which is maintained at boiling point by a low Bunsen burner flame. Infra-red sensors, etc., can be used to compare the relative radiant heat output from each of the four faces.
