The DL4148 is a surface mounting, hermetically sealed version of the 1N4148 that features low power loss, low leakage, and low forward voltage with high efficiency, high current capability, and high speed switching.
I have started to use these diodes for different projects as its easier and quicker to fit them on the rear of veroboard and other PCB's.
This also cuts down waste and the need for costly cutters to clip the leads
