System 3 is very good quality for the price, and this offer from Rapid gave me almost double the amount for the same price elsewhere. The colours are ok as a starter set, but you might want to add another 'bluer' red, a lemon yellow and pthalo blue to be able to mix a good range of greens and purples.
I have used the smaller kit for several years and find the basic colour range excellent for all the small painting tasks I have put it to. So, when I was looking to put together a kit for my daughter to get back to painting, I naturally chose the larger kit; with the same colour range. The larger tubes represent very good value for money and give large enough paint quantities to tackle larger boards/canvases. A top starter kit.
