The ZF MP201701 sensor features a single-pole, single-throw normally open contact and is designed with a plastic housing.

Q. Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to know about the sensitivity of the sensor. What strength magnetic field and from what angle, that is vertically above or side would be required to "trip" the sensor. Thank you
A. Hi Georges, thank you for your question. When used with the required magnet (63-0860) they work head on (on axis) with an operating distance of 3.81mm minimum and a release distance of 12.7mm maximum as shown at the bottom of the data sheet. The manufacturer does not state the strength of the magnetic field as it is designed to be used with the designated magnet.
