Q. They are three lugs on the SPST switch of this IEC inlet. Two make up the SPST but were does the thrid connect to. I'm guessing its for the led in the switch. Does this connect to Mains ground?
A. Hi David. Thank you for your question. The switch incorporates a mains powered neon indicator and the switch is configured as follows: pins 1 ans 2 (closest together) are y our live SPST switch connections and pin 3 (furthest apart) is for the neutral connection so when the switch is made the neon will illuminate. Pin numbers are on the body of the switch that will require removing from the housing to view.
