Q. My 1/4 inch Mono Jack has 3 Solder prongs? Don't they usually have 2?
A. Hi Kieran, thank you for your question. For mono 6.35mm connections they will be two connections one of the +signal and for the -signal, or three connections where in this sockets case the +signal is switched hence the third connection. An unswitched version is viewable here.
