Q. The data sheet states that pins 2 and 3 are bridged. Can I still use this plug to connect power via the Raspberry Pi micro power socket?

A. Hi Keith, thank you for your question. We would not use a USB lead with the data pins shorted to power a Pi, this is normally done to fool devices that are to be charged using this cable. We would suggest 45-4009 and cut off the unused plug and just use the power pins, leaving the data pins floating.
