ABUS RM0010 Test Spray For Optical Smoke Detector

The ABUS RM0010 Test Spray for Optical Smoke Detector allows you to check whether your optical smoke detector is functioning correctly.

An optical smoke detector reacts to visible smoke particles - inside the measuring chamber of the optical smoke detector, an integrated infrared light source generates a pulse of light every 8 seconds. If too much smoke enters this measuring chamber, the pulse of light is modified - a relay then switches and the detector/alarm panel reports a fire alarm.

With this test gas, you can simulate these smoke particles in order to test your smoke detector - note, the spray distance must be at least 30cm. The contents of the bottle is enough for approx. 100 smoke detector tests.
