Rapid is delighted to have officially become an approved reseller for Raspberry Pi, the Cambridge-based company that over the last decade has been almost single-handedly responsible for the global single-board computing boom.
This will mean that Rapid will be able to offer the complete range of Raspberry Pi products. This includes not only the latest versions of the signature Raspberry Pi 4, but also many of the earlier models of the A and B boards, as well as the accessories, add-ons, modules and shields that make up the full Raspberry Pi experience.
All new products will now be available from their official launch date.
We are so proud to have achieved Raspberry Pi reseller status,
said Jennifer King, Education Product Manager of Rapid.
Throughout our history we have offered a variety of kits, boards and accessories that helped people of all ages learn about coding, prototyping and programming, and this has been the mission of Raspberry Pi from its very start. We sold the first version of the Model B in 2012 and every new release always sees a huge level of interest from our customers. We can't wait to expand our Raspberry Pi range.
Rapid's educational mission is to ‘bring STEAM to life’ and we are committed to developing the skills of future generations of engineers and innovators through products like the Raspberry Pi, as well as providing our maker & industry customers with the widest choice of Pi products,
said Mrs King.
Two of the first new products to be introduced are the recently released microcontroller board, the Raspberry Pi Pico, and the Raspberry Pi 400, the complete PC in a keyboard.
Mike Buffham, Chief Commercial Officer for Raspberry Pi (Trading) Ltd, added:
We are delighted to add Rapid to our network of Approved Resellers. We have long admired Rapid's success and, especially, their focus and knowledge of the UK education market and we are really excited to see our products being offered to this market via Rapid.
