Darlington transistor array, 7 drivers, CMOS, PMOS input compatibility, 600mA peak output current, 50V output voltage, 50V switching voltage, 0.25us delay time, -20 to +85°C, 16-DIP case, high voltage, high current Darlington array containing seven open collector Darlington pairs with common emitters, suppression diodes are included for inductive load driving and the inputs are pinned opposite the outputs to simplify board layout, useful for driving a wide range of loads including solenoids, relays DC motors, LED displays filament lamps, thermal print heads and high power buffers.

Ideal for building interface for computers

Using this chip it is possible to build a forgiving interface to link computer output to relays ... relays are ideal for operating most everyday technology applications such as motors. It is all straightforward wiring for the novice and a self build will save much cost. Also used these in a project to pick up light from programmed light patches on monitor using multiple LDRs in a potential divider input - ideal for very many independent outputs - ideal in model railways.
