The Arduino Yún with PoE is a microcontroller board that combines the ease of use of Arduino with the power of Linux, and can be powered over its wired internet connection. It is based around an Atmel ATmega32u4 microcontroller and the Atheros AR9331, which supports a Linux distribution called Linino. The board features built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi support as well as a USB port, microSD card slot, 20x digital I/O pins, a crystal oscillator, a micro USB connection, ICSP header and 3x reset buttons. The Yún can communicate with the onboard Linux distro, giving a powerful networked computer with all the programming possibilities of an Arduino Leonardo.
This version incorporates a Power over Ethernet (PoE) module to simplify powering the Arduino in difficult locations. The release of the PoE module finally explains the diagonal row of holes on the Arduino Yun board.
