For cable and electrical insulation: The red Scotch® insulating tape universal is a self-adhesive PVC adhesive tape for the insulation and repair of electrical cables. The red Scotch® insulating tape is the ideal insulating tape for power cables and other cables. It consists of a particularly flexible PVC film with a high degree of extensibility, which also perfectly adapts to uneven surfaces. It is easy to unwind and adheres without large contact pressure. In addition to the electrical insulation, it can be used to attach loose cables, to protect stressed cable coats or for colour identification. The insulating tape sticks reliably at temperatures from 0°C to 90°C. It is flame retardant and offers protection against electrical voltages up to 6,000 volts. The Scotch® insulation tape is VDE tested and certified according to IEC standard 454-3-1. The packaging contains a roll of red insulating tape in dimensions 15 mm x 10 m.
