3M 431 Thin soft aluminium adhesive tape with transparent adhesive for masking, sealing, reflecting heat and light and masking when anodizing aluminium. Also serves as a moisture barrier. The 3M™ aluminum adhesive tape 431 is suitable for sealing, joining, Fastening or Covering in the aviation, household appliances and automotive industry. The adhesive tape is equipped with an acrylate adhesive. It is non-degradable, flame retardant, resistant to moisture and weather. In addition, it is heat conductive, heat and light reflective and can be used efficiently in heating and cooling systems. The acrylate adhesive offers temperature, UV and solvent resistance for strong, long-lasting and reliable compounds.
The adhesive tape is well suited as masking material for aluminum galvanizing, because it does not contaminate the bathroom. Due to its low water vapor diffusion rate, the adhesive tape offers excellent sealing and repair properties. It is ideal for long-term applications in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. 3M™ Aluminum adhesive tape 431 complies with F.A.R 25.853(a) and UL 723, class "L" standards.
