These straight latch headers have been manufactured to a very high specification and are used worldwide. The female connector is designed to be used to connect a ribbon cable using IDC technology to peripherals from printed circuit boards. Integrated coding at the centre of the insulating housing eliminates contact damage caused by improper mating. The locking latches secure the connection against inadvertent release due to vibration or shock.
