A 50Ω 2A power NTC thermistor designed to be used as an inrush current limiter. Presenting a high resistance at low temperature the device will limit the initial inrush of current on circuit activation. After a certain amount of time the resistance of the thermistor will reduce and allow more current to flow. Suitable for applications such as: switch mode power supplies, motors, transformers, halogen lighting, LED driver circuits.

Very useful

Very good for inrush current limiting, stopped a toroidal transformer from tripping a C type MCB on switch on. They do get hot so positioning is important.
