This is the Texas Instruments TLC549CP 8-bit ADC which features a tri-state serial output for interfacing to microprocessors or microcontrollers. The device has a 4MHz internal clock which controls the sampling process and an external I/O clock up to 1.1MHz which controls the serial transfer. The chip select signal is used to start data transfer or set the output to tri-state mode. This is a low-power CMOS part and is ideal for battery-operated portable instrumentation.
