The StarTech.com SATA Power Splitter Cables feature 1 x SATA 15-pin plug that breaks out into 2 x or 4 x SATA power 15-pin receptacles. They enable you to connect additional Serial ATA drives to a single SATA power connection on the computer’s power supply. The latching SATA power version (19-8775) ensures a secured connection to the drives, preventing accidental disconnects. Splitting the power eliminates the cost of having to upgrade the power supply to accommodate more SATA drives.
