Q. What is the current rating @ 12VDC. I am proposing to use this switch with a clay pigeon trap, remote actuation at the end of a 50m extension cable with it enclosed in an IP67 plastic box.
A. Hi Simon. Thank you for your question. The current rating will be approx 1.5 Amps at 12VDC.

Q. Would this be suitable as a simple push button starter in a cars ignition setup
A. Hi Simon, thanks for your question. This push button starter would be ok since it will be activating a relay to start the ignition – so is not subject to any large voltage or current directly. However, care needs to be taken that this is all that is happening and there are no additional functions being activated which may add to the load on it – which could affect it effectiveness and lifespan.
