I had my doubts about the longevity of these but my fears were ill founded. A set of equipment I built for use by the 6th form easily survived two whole terms with no casualties whatsoever. So I'm now ordering some more for another projects. They really do look smart in real life as well, bargain!!!
Good but be careful fitting

This is a nice space saving push button. The LED can be connected in an independent circuit to the switch. But be careful not to push it into the panel by the red lens as this can damage the switch latching operation.
I recommend pushing in with hollow spacer such as a nut that clears the lens.
Multi-application switch for portable designs.

This LED illuminated single pole latching switch, with mounting hole of 9mm, and bezel area 11mm diameter... has space saving on/off LED, isolated from the single pole switch; the push action 6mm off, to 3.3mm on, with 6mm diameter button area.
LED forward voltage can operate at half rating, with a good intensity viewed in daylight; thus, is ideal for portable self powered designs. Used as an indicator, or status condition for on-board systems design... I would highly recommend this switch for these benefits.
