RVFM National Grid Simulation with Pylons

This equipment can be used to demonstrate the need for high voltage transmission of electricity. This apparatus clearly demonstrates how this is achieved using 2 interconnected boxes through which pupils can see the components. The high and low voltage sides are clearly indicated, with resistance wires connected to either side for direct comparison of lamp brightness/energy loss. By gripping the insulated cables the energy loss can be felt in the form of heat.
