Q. Hi, Can this pump be used to evacuate the bell jar you stock...in a reasonable amount of time? Thanks.

A. Hi Andy, thank you for your question. For the bell jar we would recommend 52-2210. The hand pump may also work but we are unable to test this.

A. Hi Peter, thank you for your question. This is a vacuum pump so is designed to remove air. The dial has the following 0.08 bar maximum which equals 1.16 psi.

Q. Does this vacuum pump require a secondary valve / clamp on the pipe to maintain a vacuum for 24 hours or longer?

A. Hi Pete, thank you for your question. We think this vacuum pump is not suitable for industrial use. The vacuum pump can not work for 24 hours or longer, it will influence the life of the vacuum pump.
