Q. Hi, I'm making a small robotic arm for a project. Can this wire be used with a genie board? I was thinking of having the hand closing and if I ran a small current through the wire the hand would open with the memory wire. Regards, Grace Taite
A. Hi Grace, thank you for your question. This wire could use through a genie board if connected correctly. Dependent on which board as to how much current could be passed through the wire.
Q. Hi If I was to provide a DC power source of 12v 1 Amp from a model railway controller, what resistor would I need to wire in series to ensure that I can keep the power switched on without over heating a 4" long SMART WIRE How many can I power simultaneously from this power source. A. Hi John. Thank you for your question. Each 4" bit can handle up to 180mA so you would be able to power a maximum of 11 off a 2 amp power supply.
