Q. Hi, I'm making a small robotic arm for a project. Can this wire be used with a genie board? I was thinking of having the hand closing and if I ran a small current through the wire the hand would open with the memory wire. Regards, Grace Taite
A. Hi Grace, thank you for your question. This wire could use through a genie board if connected correctly. Dependent on which board as to how much current could be passed through the wire.

Q. Hi If I was to provide a DC power source of 12v 1 Amp from a model railway controller, what resistor would I need to wire in series to ensure that I can keep the power switched on without over heating a 4" long SMART WIRE How many can I power simultaneously from this power source. Many thanks John
A. Hi John. Thank you for your question. Each 4" bit can handle up to 180mA so you would be able to power a maximum of 11 off a 2 amp power supply.
