Rapid 6A AC/DC Physics Power Supply

This addition to the Rapid range offers AC voltages of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12V and capacitor smoothed (10,000µF), DC voltages of 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 or 15V.

• Separate AC and DC colour coded terminals are provided
• AC and DC voltages may be used simultaneously up to a maximum combined load of 6 amps
• An earth terminal is also provided should rail clamping be required
• Voltages are selected by a six position keyswitch – the key is removable in any position
• Keys are of a common profile so that one key will switch any unit
• The output voltage is monitored by a sophisticated system which detects overloads, short circuits and cuts power to the terminals under these conditions
• Tripping is indicated by a buzzer sounding and the output monitor LED turning from green to red, thereby allowing the teacher to locate the tripped unit from across the room
• Reset is achieved by switching off the mains switch for 5 seconds
• Unit comes housed in a rugged steel case with carrying handle and is stackable
• Mains input is via a rear panel mounted, fused IEC connector and a detachable IEC lead with moulded mains plug

Not recommended for use as a battery charger.
