A range of metal oxide varistors that are voltage-dependent resistors whose resistance decreases as voltage increases. When connected in parallel with the component or circuit requiring protection the varistor forms a low-resistance shunt, preventing any rise in surge overvoltage.

The varistors are available in a range of voltages and diameters and are proven protective devices due to their application flexibility and high reliability.
