This solder-yourself kit has a working range of up to 50m - made possible by the special optical system and highly sensitive photo-receiver. The infra-red beam is invisible to human eyes and is therefore perfect for security and surveillance.

When the light beam between the transmitter and the receiver is broken (e.g. by a person), the relay in the receiver operates and can switch on whatever is connected to it, for example a siren, security light, alarm, generator, printer, etc.

15 October 2016 Question by: Stuart | Product code: 55-2235
Q. Does this come as assembled boards or as a bag of components? Is there a circuit diagram in the pack? I am looking to connect a rain sensor to the transmitter and a buzzer to the receiver. What components would you recommend?
A. Hi Stuart, thank you for your question. Yes this is a kit (bag of parts), you would find the assembly instructions here.
