Watertight (IP 66) grey ABS enclosures from Hammond with modern 'styled' lids featuring a smooth recessed area ideal for labels and membrane keypads. The styled lids (except 1555BGY) also have moulded-in standoffs for 6 self-tapping screws, not present in the flat-lidded 1554 series.

  • Ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components
  • Material - general purpose ABS plastic (material carries a UL flammability rating of UL94 HB)
  • Light grey colour (RAL 7035)
  • Gasketed lid with two piece 'tongue & groove' construction provides protection against access of oil, dust and water
  • Gasket is pre-formed (and replaceable) high temperature, UL listed silicone rubber
  • Designed to meet IP 66 & NEMA 4, 4X, 12 & 13 ratings
  • Lid is secured with captive M4 stainless steel machine screws (included), threaded into integral stainless steel bushings (for repetitive assembly and disassembly). All stainless steel hardware to avoid corrosion caused by dissimilar metals
  • Lid screws are captive (lid holes are threaded with the first installation of lid screws)
  • Internal features are maximised for mounting options
  • Internal DIN rail mounting tabs moulded-in
  • Options vary with size. Threaded (M3) integral brass inserts and/or standoffs (6 self tapping screws) for PCB or inner panel mounting
  • Vertical PCB guides (for 1.5mm thick PCBs) moulded in
