Hammond 1554 Series Grey Watertight ABS Enclosures

Ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components
Material - general purpose ABS plastic (material carries a UL flammability rating of UL94 HB)
Colour is a light grey (RAL 7035)
Gasketed lid with two piece 'tongue & groove' construction provides protection against access of oil, dust and water
Gasket is pre-formed (and replaceable) high temperature, UL listed silicone rubber
Designed to meet IP 66 & NEMA 4, 4X, 12 & 13 ratings
Lid is secured with captive M4 stainless steel machine screws (included), threaded into integral stainless steel bushings (for repetitive assembly and disassembly). All stainless steel hardware to avoid corrosion caused by dissimilar metals
Lid screws are captive (lid holes are threaded with the first installation of lid screws)
Internal features are maximized for mounting options
Internal DIN rail mounting tabs moulded-in except 1554CGY
Options vary with size. Threaded (M3) integral brass inserts and/or standoffs (#6 self tapping screws) for PCB or inner panel mounting in all but the smallest size (1554BGY)
Vertical PCB guides (for 1.5mm thick PCBs) are moulded in all but the smallest size enclosure (1554BGY)

Q. I am looking for an enclosure to HOLD water, would these enclosures hold water under pressure i.e. up to 20psi? Many thanks.

A. Hi David, thanks for your question. These are not specified to retain water – only to resist ingress. A storage or pressure tank maybe a better option.
