Watertight, Die Cast Aluminium Enclosures - Hammond 1550Z137F is a robust die-cast aluminium enclosure designed for a variety of electronic and electrical applications, measuring 121 mm in height, width, and 102 mm in depth. This thick-walled, flanged enclosure offers excellent protection against environmental factors, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions
- Thick-wall diecast aluminium watertight electronic instrument enclosure.
- Rugged diecast aluminium alloy is tough yet easy to machine.
- Two piece tongue and groove construction for protection against access of dust and water.
- Strong spot-welded bottom flange allows for easy mounting.
- Unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
- Textured black version is coated with tough polyester powder for a lasting finish, even after machining. Finish is applied outside and inside the enclosure.
- Lid is secured with either two, four, or six stainless steel Philips head machine screws, depending on enclosure size.
- Lid screws are outside the gasket protection area to eliminate the need for O-rings.
- Gasket is pre-formed, one-piece silicone rubber and installs easily into lid groove.
- Gasket has a temperature rating of -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F).
- cUL and UL listed under file #E71073.
- Independently tested to meet IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings.
- All sizes except 1550Z101F carry an impact rating of IK08 per IEC62262.
