Watertight, Die Cast Aluminium Enclosures - Hammond 1550Z104FBK is a robust flanged die-cast enclosure designed for durability and versatile application in various environments. Measuring 65 mm in length, 58 mm in width, and 35 mm in height, this enclosure features a thick wall construction that ensures excellent protection for electronic components against physical damage and environmental factors.
Rugged diecast aluminium alloy is tough yet easy to machine.
Two piece tongue and groove construction for protection against access of dust and water.
Strong spot-welded bottom flange allows for easy mounting.
Unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
Textured black version is coated with tough polyester powder for a lasting finish, even after machining. Finish is applied outside and inside the enclosure.
Lid is secured with either two, four, or six stainless steel Philips head machine screws, depending on enclosure size.
Lid screws are outside the gasket protection area to eliminate the need for O-rings.
Gasket is pre-formed, one-piece silicone rubber and installs easily into lid groove.
Gasket has a temperature rating of -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F).

Independently tested to meet IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings.
All sizes except 1550Z101F carry an impact rating of IK08 per IEC62262.
