As part of the GENIE ELITE range this GENIE Activity Kit allows students to experiment with a variety of inputs and outputs. The kit features a GENIE 18 microcontroller, piezo sounder, thumb turn potentiometer, and a range of LEDs.

Enhance your educational projects with a user-friendly and affordable microcontroller programming system. These kits are supplied with Version 2 GENIE microcontrollers and can be easily programmed with Circuit Wizard 3.5 or the free GENIE Programming Editor software. The flowchart software makes it easy to add intelligence and control to your designs. Programs can be easily downloaded to your board using a USB Serial Cable.

Q. We've recently bought 10 of these kits and, mostly, they work lovely. The piezo sounder, however, is barely audible. Can I do anything to increase the volume or could you suggest an alternative surface mounted sounder/transducer with better output? Thanks
A. Hi Gary, thank you for your question. It is worth trying a cased version like 35-0045 or a bigger supply and logic MOSFET amplifier stage.

A. Hi Rita, thank you for your question. This kit is supplied with 5mm LEDs: 3 green, 2 yellow and 2 red.
