This metal block calorimeter can be used for the experimental determination of the specific heat capacity of aluminium.

The cylindrical block has a mass of 1kg adjusted to an accuracy of 2%. The block is drilled with two holes: a larger 12.5mm central hole for a special immersion heater and a smaller hole 7.5mm diameter for a thermometer or temperature sensor.
