The Dobot Hexplorer 6-Legged Bionic Hexapod Robot is a professional mobile robotics platform, designed for research, education, inspection and field applications. Its six-legged design provides stable movement, enabling operation on uneven terrain, slopes up to 40° and obstacles up to 20cm, with a maximum speed of 1.8 m/s. It is suitable for environments including grass, sand, gravel, wet surfaces and stairs.
The platform integrates onboard sensing and autonomous control for real-time terrain adaptation. It features an x86 motion control PC and an ARM-based AI processor delivering up to 40 TOPS, supporting navigation, obstacle avoidance and target tracking. Supplied with Ubuntu 22.04 and ROS2 Humble, it has an SDK with Python and C++ support for high-level and joint-level control. A modular expansion interface supports future integration of additional systems such as robotic arms, video transmission and automated charging.
