These cobots stand out with their high efficiency, featuring highly integrated joints and high-performance harmonic drive reducers that improve cycle time and maximum join speed by 25% compared to CR and CR_V2 robotic arms. The upgraded versions of the CR range feature an increased number of I/Os, new Modbus TCP/RTU and PROFINET communication methods, and a new V4 controller, ensuring compatibility with the latest software standards.

The CR10AS is equipped with SafeSkin technology, providing contactless pre-colllision safety upgrades to other robotic arms in the field. The SafeSkin pre-collision detection system incorporates Dobot's proprietary technology that senses for changes in the electromagnetic field, eliminating the need for vision sensors. The SafeSkin can detect foreign objects that come within 15cm of range and respond within 0.1 seconds to ensure safety. The elastic silicone wrap of the SafeSkin system is designed for easy installation and transfer to other robots. Covering the entire front portion of the robotic arm, it provides 360-degree obstacle detection from all directions, ensuring optimal safety. When the robot is powered off, the soft silicone wrap acts as a physical cushion, protecting both the robot and any colliding objects. This innovative design enhances safety and versatility, making it a valuable addition to any collaborative robotic setup.

The DobotStudio Pro operating software supports graphical programming, scripting, and drag-to-teach functionality, allowing users to easily create and modify robotic tasks.
