Q. we are trying to replace an existing pressure mat that has broken. It was a wireless one operated by a small battery which sent a signal to a chime / alarm box. would this mat be suitable ?

A. Hi Nikki, thank you for your question. Dependent on size, this may be suitable. This Comus large floor pressure pad does have 4 wires for connection, please see the data sheet.
