The Hammond IP54 Diecast Aluminium Enclosure Natural 1550J (275 x 175 x 67mm) is from a wide range of die-cast aluminium enclosures in industry standard sizes that will provide mechanical protection making them suitable for a use in a wide variety of applications. The range is available with a natural or powder-coated black finish.

The thin wall aluminium enclosures have high impact strength and are easily drilled and punched to accept cables, switches and indicators as required.

Big box, small price

This box was the only big one I found at a sensible price ( Rapid chaper than others ). It is a beautiful 1960's style construction perfect for my use. Even just about works with Qmax hole cutters ( punch types ). M3.5 is same as UK mains socket long bolts for it's fixings (only 4 supplied with 6 holes ? ). I used these and M4 nuts to make cheap spacers to allow air flow. Cocktail sticks to locate the spacers. Strongly recomended

Unusually large box

It is hard to find a die cast box of this size. This one is lighter than you would expect and quite up to Hammond's usual standard.
