Antistat ESD Products

Antistat is one of the world's leading manufacturers of ESD safe products. The company is a centre of excellence in making electronic components, circuits and electronic devices protected in environments where electrostatic discharge is present. ESD affects the performance of electronics and in some cases damages electronic products, and Antistat has worked hard to develop a comprehensive range of ESD products.

At Rapid you will find a comprehensive range of Antistat ESD products for use in cleanroom environments, including carbon and polyurethane antistatic gloves, antistatic gripseal bags, heel grounders and mats, Antistat moisture barrier bags, plugs, wrist straps, wrist bands, solvent dispensers, bottles, ring binders, document wallets, metering equipment, tape, labels, signs and waste bins. These products are fully protected and shielded against ESD.

Added ESD protection can be achieved with Antistat products in some simple ways. For example, a Faraday Cage effect is possible if electronic components are sealed in a conductive layer within antistatic bags.

Varying levels of ESD protection are available with a range of Antistatic bags, including metallised static shielding bags, pink static dissipative bags (minimal ESD protection), carbon loaded polyethylene conductive black bags offering medium-level ESD protection, and moisture barrier bags that keep components protected from high humidity - an increasingly urgent consideration since the advent of unleaded solder.

Working with clients within the electronics, medical, aerospace, automotive fields, Antistat has recently supplied flooring technology and advice to Bloodhound, the British-made supersonic car project which aims to become the first land-based vehicle to travel at 1,000MPH.
