This universal sensor switching module is a 230V, 2-point regulator for switching industrial sensor and probe inputs. Supplied without housing for integration into existing installations or for new designs. A suitable sensor is connected to one of the RJ12 inputs and the module senses the parameter to be regulated and triggers a relay output, with upper and lower limits, according to the limit settings.
Universal application for this module comes from the 3x different types of inputs that are internally connected and may be used individually or together. The three inputs can have their switching behaviour separately configured via the relevant jumper connection.
Input 1 is a Schmitt-trigger input with high-pass filter that is ideal for switching sensors such as Reed contacts, alarm circuits, light barriers, etc.
Input 2 Is an AC input for analog AC voltage impedance evaluation, specifically for electrolytic sensors such as conductance probes and level indicators.
Input 3 is a universal analog voltage or resistance input that is also used for industrial voltage or current signals as well as LDRs, NTCs or PTCs.
The 2-point limiting values of the active relays and the hysteresis are adjusted via 3x potentiometers and status monitoring is provided by 6x LEDs mounted on the PCB. The switching module is also provided with a time delay function that can be configured to switch the output after a delay of between 10s to 10 min.
The switching relays have NO changeover contacts that are rated to 5A 230V and have varistors fitted that provide surge suppression protection.
