ABUS FU8340 Secvest 2WAY Wireless Smoke Detector

The ABUS FU8340 Secvest 2-Way Wireless Smoke Detector is a component of the Secvest 2-Way and is also suitable for the Terxon with a wireless expansion module. It reacts to smoke particles and temperatures that exceed the maximum - these indicators are reliably detected and reported to the wireless alarm control panel.

The wireless smoke detector is mounted to the ceiling in the center of a room, while the distance to the side wall should be at least 15cm, the distance to each corner at least 50cm - the detection range is 40m².

It is recommended that you have a smoke detector in every hallway, staircase, living room, and bedroom as it is ideal for detecting smoke particles, which enter its measuring chamber, and reacts if the room temperature exceeds 65°C. Integrated into the alarm system, the wireless smoke detector always occupies a zone that is monitored even when the system is disarmed. In addition to the alarm from the control panel (which is connected to an emergency call center via AWAG or AWUG), the detector's integrated piezo sounder provides an additional alarm with a minimum of 85dB.

With corresponding batteries (9V block) the wireless smoke detector has a service life of approximately 24 months. The service life varies depending on how often you test the detector's functions, though it is recommended that you run the test once a week. The detector signals a weak battery by sounding regular beep tones.
