A mains-powered, bench-mounting unit for the filtration and reduction of soldering and other fumes from the immediate vicinity of the user.

When soldering in the workplace or classroom, it is advisable to have some kind of fume extraction or fume filtering system.

The unit reduces fumes by drawing the air through replaceable carbon filters. Simply position the filter head close to the work area and switch it on.

Q. Hi, what size particles does the filter extract from the air and how often does the carbon filter need replacing
A. Hi Neil. Thank you for your question. The manufacturer does not offer a particle rating but it is designed for the removal of harmful soldering fumes in the air. The filter should be changed once a month or when full of dust.

A. Hi Andy. Thank you for your question. The manufacturer has quoted the noise rating to be between 42 to 45dB.

A. Hi Dave, thanks for your question. The head of this bench extractor unit measures approximately 210 x 210 x 135mm and takes a 130 x 130 x 10mm filter.

Q. Would this product be suitable for extracting fumes from Hot Wire Cutter (cutting plastic & Expanded Polystyrene) And Welding plastic with a soldering iron?
A. Hi Paul. Thank you for your question. This would be suitable - it does state it can be used for soldering and other fumes.

I found that the device though good when set up was not as easy as I thought it would be to set up. The instructions were not as clear as they could be. That aside the the extractor works brilliantly.
