An afuche type of cabasa that has a robust wooden construction. A 11cm diameter drum has a chromed strip on which rests strings of chromed beads. When the cabasa is held by the attached wooden handle and shaken or twisted a metallic rattling sound is created. Most often used as a percussion instrument in Latin American rhythms this cabasa can produce precise rhythmic effects.
