The JustBoom DAC HAT is a high resolution, digital-to-analog converter for the Raspberry Pi. Simply stack the plug-and-play HAT onto your Raspberry Pi A+, B+, 2B 3B, 3B+ and it's all set to go.
The DAC HAT is easy to install and use. No soldering is required and all fixings are supplied, in fact it's ideal for the novice, the seasoned professional, and everyone in between. Once you've connected your HAT to a set of powered speakers or an audio amplifier you'll be up and running, with flawless high-quality audio playback.
The unit is powered directly from the Raspberry Pi via the GPIO header so there are no extra cables or power supplies required. All the GPIO pins are still accessible on the DAC HAT for easy customisation of your project, such as adding sensors, controls, indicators, etc.
Also included with the HAT is an IR receiver that gives you the ability to control your Raspberry Pi remotely.
Includes a 384kHz/32 bit DAC chip with hardware volume mixing as well as a 138mW headphone amplifier. Outputs are line level over RCA and headphone amplified over 3.5mm jack cable. The HAT uses the I2S interface for its audio input which reduces CPU load on the Raspberry Pi compared to USB solutions.
