The team at Rapid has worked closely with schools and drone experts to put together the perfect racing drone kit. This kit is identical to our Rapid Racing Drone Starter Package, 70-1140, but does not contain a transmitter or receiver.
The Rapid Racing Drone is based on a popular 250 size* quadcopter chassis with four powerful brushless motors and is powered by a lithium polymer battery. Rapid offer a range of spare parts to keep you flying in the event of a heavy crash.
You will need access to some tools to complete the construction. Some experience of soldering is beneficial but not essential.
Tools needed:
- Soldering iron and solder
- Wire cutter and wire stripper
- Hex/Allen key set with 2mm key
- Threadlock adhesive
- Small piece of heatshrink tubing or PVC insulating tape
The Rapid Racing Drone is also ideal for FPV (First Person View) racing – use our FPV Camera and Transmitter Kit and FPV Goggles to upgrade to FPV.
