The 3M LuB P cable lubricant is especially suitable for use in power supply and industrial applications. Due to its special consistency, it forms a secure sliding film on the cable sheath, even on heavy cables. The application can be done either by hand or by injection. LuB P makes it easier to pull through and lay cables and wires by reducing friction. Wear and tear are significantly reduced both on the cables and on the devices used. This effectively prevents cable sheath damage and also prevents the cables from getting tangled or getting stuck. This makes it particularly recommended for long and winding cable trains. The transparent, water-based cable lubricant can be easily and cleanly wiped off if required. No silicone or grease residue makes cable processing difficult. In addition, it does not cause irreversible stains on clothing, equipment or surroundings. LuB P dries very slowly and is therefore very productive. It leaves only a minimal residue, since it contains less than 5.5 percent solid components. It is suitable for high-performance cables and regular 600V cables, as well as for most cable materials, including polyethylene and semi-cons. It is also compatible with semi-conductor materials. In other words, unlike lubricants based on wax or hydrocarbon, it does not affect the volume resistance of medium and high-voltage cable sheaths or the insulation layer. LuB P is extremely temperature stable and non-flammable.
