Q. Hi, Does this cable require a different driver to the PICAXE sytem? Thanks Rhun

A. Hi Rhun. Thank you for your question. This is just a serial cable. Just select the com port in the picaxe or genie software - no additional driver is needed. The computer must have a serial port to use this cable - there are also USB cables for picaxe and genie.
