The Voltcraft BL-10L light meter has been designed to measure the intensity of illumination and the incidence of light on a certain surface area. The measurement is carried out via a silicon photo diode.

The readings can be displayed in lux (lx) or foot-candle (fc), as required. Moreover, the maximum readings for a particular measurement process can be shown. With the help of the integrated IR-filter only the visible range of the light spectrum is included in the measurement. The BL-10 is powered by a 9V battery.
