The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 (NoIR) Sensor Wide Angle Assembly, SC0896 offers the same IMX708 12-megapixel sensor with high-dynamic-range (HDR) support, and the same Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) functionality as the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 (NoIR) AF (autofocus). The NoIR version is infrared-sensitive with no InfraRed (NoIR) filter on the lens, which makes it perfect for shooting Infrared photography and taking pictures/video in low light (twilight) environments. It is designed to enable you to integrate the features of Camera Module 3 (NoIR) into a wide range of form factors and device designs.
The Camera Module 3 (NoIR) Sensor Assembly can be used for full HD video as well as stills photographs, and provides a natural path to scale for customers who have prototyped with Camera Module 3. Its operation is fully supported by the libcamera library. A library of software commands allows you to have total control of what you focus on and how you do it.
This sensor assembly provides a low-cost way to add imaging capability to smaller devices, for smoother manufacturing processes and faster time to market.
Camera Module 3 (NoIR) Sensor Assembly is compatible with most Raspberry Pi computers.
