Q. I want to use this type and size of bulb in my railway control panel. How is the bulb restrained in the panel to stop it falling out? I am using a 12 volt DC supply. I assume I do not need resistors. Is that correct?
A. Hi Ivor, thank you for your question. Normally mounted into a 2mm hole, this is a 2V LED and to run at the specified 10mA at 12V DC you would ideally need a 1K in series with each LED.
