The FLIR T912305 Si2‑PD, is a high-end industrial acoustic imaging system engineered for partial discharge detection, classification, and severity assessment. It uses a large MEMS microphone array to visualise ultrasonic emissions from partial discharge activity and overlays this information on a digital camera image, enabling fast, safe, long distance monitoring of electrical devices.
This devices primary functions are detect, locate, classify & assess partial discharge faults up to 200m (656ft), identify partial discharge events 30× smaller than previously possible, and provide on-camera AI‑based severity assessment with recommended actions.
Partial Discharge (PD) Detection
Detects and classifies PD types at long distances (up to 200m)
Identifies PD events 30× smaller than earlier-generation tools
AI‑based severity assessment built into the device and supported via software
